White House Ignores Senator Lankford Immigration Request

Mar 10th, 2015 | By

“Immigration enforcement is not a political issue – it is an important national security issue that requires clear direction,” said Lankford. “Our ICE and DHS families face tremendous pressure; comments like this create more confusion and stress about their responsibilities. Federal law enforcement officials should not constantly second-guess their task as they face dangerous split-second decisions every day. Despite no response from the White House, we will continue to press this matter.”

Sen. Cruz: Court Decision Major Victory For Rule Of Law, Senate Democrats Should Look Hard At This Ruling

Feb 18th, 2015 | By

This is a major victory for the rule of law; the District Court’s ruling states that President Obama must now stop implementing these policies in ‘any and all aspects.’ Last summer we saw a humanitarian crisis on our southern border that was a direct consequence of Obama’s previous amnesty. Republicans are now standing together to try to ensure that it never happens again.

Obama’s Illegal Amnesty Edict Encourages Illegal Voters!

Feb 13th, 2015 | By

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach appeared on “Fox And Friends” yesterday to discuss Obama’s illegal amnesty edict and the inevitability of illegals voting in American elections. The unconstitutional edict permits 5 million illegals to stay in the U.S. and allows them to get social security numbers and driver’s licenses. Both of these documents can be used to register to vote in American elections – but non-citizens by law are forbidden from voting.

Pat Caddell Poll: Republicans Face Problems If They Fail To Oppose Obamamnesty Plan

Jan 6th, 2015 | By

Republican voters want the GOP leadership in the Senate and House to vigorously oppose Obama’s agenda, not “compromise” with him or raise the white flag of surrender every time there’s a confrontation. If anything, the elections of 2014 sent a loud message to Obama, Democrats and the GOP.

ACLJ Represents 27 Members of Congress In Challenging President Obama’s Flawed Immigration Action

Dec 17th, 2014 | By

The American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ), which focuses on constitutional law, announced yesterday it is representing 27 Members of Congress – led by Sen. Ted Cruz, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and Rep. Bob Goodlatte, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.

Sen. Cruz Invokes Cicero’s Words Against President Obama’s Lawlessness

Nov 21st, 2014 | By

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, today spoke on the Senate floor harkening back to Cicero’s famous warning to the citizens of Rome. Over 2,000 years later, the words are powerfully relevant to our current President’s lawlessness. When, President Obama, do you mean to cease abusing our patience? How long is that madness of yours still to mock us? When is there to be an end of that unbridled audacity of yours, swaggering about as it does now,” Sen. Cruz asked.

Gohmert/Bachmann React To Obama’s Illegal Alien Amnesty Speech

Nov 21st, 2014 | By

“[The executive order] is such an offense to the Constitution, and by the way, Sean, it is so offensive to the African-Americans and Hispanic-Americans who have an enormously high unemployment rate. This president has come in and said, ‘you know what, for political gain, I am going to give 5 million people the authority to work here, even though that’s illegal, I’m going to do it.’ And that’s going to leave 5 million people out in the cold.”

King: We Are Headed For A Constitutional Crisis If President Grants Amnesty

Nov 14th, 2014 | By

The audacity of this President to think he can completely destroy the Rule of Law with the stroke of a pen is unfathomable to me. It is unconstitutional, it is cynical, and it violates the will of the American people. Our Republic will not stand if we tolerate a President who is set upon the complete destruction of the Rule of Law.

Don’t Enable Obama’s Executive Amnesty in Lame Duck

Nov 7th, 2014 | By

“The Supreme Court has recognized that ‘over no conceivable subject is the power of Congress more complete’ than its power over immigration,” the letter said. “Therefore, President Obama will be exercising powers properly belonging to Congress if he makes good on his threat. This will create a constitutional crisis that demands action by Congress to restore the separation of powers.”

Immigrants Deserve Better Than Obama

Aug 26th, 2014 | By

I am opposed to the president’s immigration policy because I believe immigrants deserve better. The direct cause of the border crisis that Texas is now forced to address is the president’s 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. In 2011, before this policy was enacted without approval from Congress, roughly 6,000 unaccompanied children were apprehended at the border; in 2014, with the policy in effect, an estimated 90,000 children will cross the border, many of them smuggled by vicious criminals.
