Congressman Devin Nunes (R-CA) is chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and is endorsed by GINGPAC. Nunes appeared on “Fox News Sunday” last weekend to discuss the Islamic terrorist attack in Brussels and how Democrats are blocking any effort to stop Obama from importing hundreds of thousands of potential terrorists into the U.S.

The Obama administration announced Thursday the latest release of terrorists from the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. One of the men, a Bosnian named Tariq Mahmoud Ahmed al-Sawah, admitted to being a member of al-Qaida and developed explosives for the terror group to target U.S. military personnel and civilians.

We must lead in the fight against extremists and terror, and make certain that our allies in the Middle East are playing a significant role on the ground. We cannot simply hope ISIS or al-Qaeda will disappear. The men and women of our Armed Forces are true American heroes, and they deserve nothing less than the strongest strategy possible behind their missions.

The fact of the matter is, Islam is different. I know this is going to come as a shock to a lot of people, and I mean the sincerely. Islam is not just a religion. It is also a political governing structure. The fact of the matter is, Islam is a religion, but it is also Sharia law, it is also a civil government, it is also a form of government. And, so, the idea that that is protected under the First Amendment is wrong. And, in fact, that political structure is what is the big problem.
