State Representative Rick Saccone is being endorsed by GING-PAC to fill the 18th Congressional Seat in Pennsylvania. The seat was vacated by Tim Murphy in 2017 after it was revealed he asked his mistress to get an abortion when he believed she was pregnant. Murphy ran as a pro-lifer.
Saccone has had a distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force and in has served as an advisor on counter-terrorism with the U.S. Army in Iraq.
Saccone has a Ph.D. in International Affairs and graduate degrees in national security and public administration. He has studied in Egypt and Africa and has written scores of articles on foreign affairs.
In addition, he has already been endorsed by such groups as National Right to Life, Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, National Rifle Association, CatholicVote, LifePac, Fraternal Order of Police, and others.
While in the serving in the Pennsylvania House, he sponsored a bill that would require public buildings to bear the motto, “In God We Trust.” He also pushed for a “National Fast Day” to mirror President Lincoln’s proclamation of a national day of humiliation, fasting and prayer.
President Trump has enthusiastically endorsed his campaign. The special election takes place on March 13.
