THE HOUSE
ALABAMA – GING-PAC continues to look for strong social conservatives to back for election to the House in November. One godly pro-family candidate we have endorsed is Gary Palmer. Palmer has been the leader of the Alabama Policy Institute, an affiliate of Focus on the Family for the past 24 years. He is a committed Christian and strong social conservative.
Palmer has also been warmly endorsed by former presidential candidate Rick Santorum who now also has a PAC which supports conservative candidates.
According to Santorum: “Gary has been at the forefront of the battle for our conservatives ideals, not just in Alabama but across the country. His leadership at the Alabama Policy Institute has provided solutions for some of our country’s biggest challenges from economic and tax issues, to reducing the size of government and to keeping our families strong.”
He will face Democrat Avery Vise, plus Libertarian candidate Aimee Love in the November election.
UTAH – GING-PAC also endorses Mia Love who is running for the House of Representatives from Utah. She’s a former city mayor and a social conservative with a devotion to Christian values and the American dream.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York of Haitian immigrants. When she was entering college, her father told her something that became her own personal philosophy. He told her: “Mia, your mother and I never took a handout. You will not be a burden to society. You will give back.”
Love graduated from the University of Hartford with a degree in fine arts. She later moved to Utah and eventually became the mayor of Saratoga Springs. Love is pro-life, pro-traditional marriage and believes in limited government, free enterprise and the American Dream.
OHIO – Meanwhile GING-PAC endorsed Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) continues to defend traditional marriage in the House. He released the following statement on the recent D.C. Court’s anti-Obamacare ruling: “From the Defense of Marriage Act, to immigration, to the implementation of his signature healthcare law, President Obama has demonstrated time after time his desire to unilaterally change the laws passed by Congress. Today’s court ruling points out yet another example where the Obama administration ignored the rule of law.”
Jordan is a social conservative who sits on the powerful House Oversight & Government Reform Committee. He has been a bulldog in the fight to learn the truth about the IRS targeting of conservatives and the cover-up by the Obama Administration of other scandals.
THE SENATE
The Republican Party needs six seats to take the Senate away from one of the most corrupt politicians in American history, Harry Reid of Nevada. Harry Reid can be ousted as majority Leader in the Senate, but only if social conservatives get out and campaign for strong conservative candidates in their states. If Harry Reid is not removed as Majority Leader of the Senate, President Barack Obama will be able to appoint hundreds more far left federal judges (including perhaps a Supreme Court justice) without resistance. Reid will continue to help Barack Obama undermine religious freedom and biblical values in America and to destabilize the world by supporting Islamic terrorist movements.
GEORGIA: Businessman David Perdue – a pro-life candidate – has won a close run-off election in Georgia to defeat Congressman Jack Kingston to become the Republican Senate candidate in November. According to Perdue: “There are principles I share with a majority of Georgians. I believe that we should promote a culture that values life and protects the innocent, especially the unborn. I also believe that we must protect traditional marriage, keeping it clearly defined as between one man and one woman. Being pro-life and believing in the sanctity of marriage are my deeply held personal convictions. I will not waver in defending them if I have the privilege of serving you in the U.S Senate.”
Perdue will be facing Democrat Michelle Nunn, the daughter of former Senator Sam Nunn. Her father was a well-liked politician in Georgia and she will have a huge financial advantage from her father’s old network even though she has never served in any office.
OKLAHOMA – Our pick for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK), who is not seeking another term due to health problems, is Congressman James Lankford. He has just won the GOP primary! A former director of a Christian camp for teens, Lankford is a dedicated Christian and strong social conservative who has supported the pro-life, pro-traditional family cause in the U.S. House.
Currently, Lankford serves in the House on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee. This experience should help him receive powerful committee appointments in the Senate. He also served as chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee, which works to pass legislation according to conservative principles.
SOUTH CAROLINA – Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) is a GING-PAC endorsed Senator and a committed Christian. He was appointed by the governor of South Carolina to serve out the remaining time of Senator Jim DeMint who left the Senate to become the head of the Heritage Foundation. Now Tim must win that seat for the next six years on his own.
Scott has been mercilessly attacked by leftist members of the NAACP as being a sell-out for white GOP politicians. Because he is black, one NAACP operative smeared him as a ventriloquist’s dummy for Republicans. If such insults had been made about liberal blacks, the media would have exploded with outrage! In Scott’s case they ignore or excuse such outrageous comments about him.
I have met with Senator Tim Scott several times and in fact have had dinner with him and a half dozen others on one occasion. The dinner did not begin until he said grace. At the Values Voter Summit in 2013, he literally preached the Gospel.
IOWA: GING-PAC has endorsed Joni Ernst for the U.S. Senate in Iowa. She is a Lt. Col. in the Iowa National Guard and an outspoken social conservative who served as a State Senator. She seeks to replace leftist Senator Tom Harkin who after five terms (30 years) has decided not to run again. Senator Marco Rubio is so much on board with her that his super PAC spent $250,000 to help her get the GOP nomination. Now she faces Harkin’s endorsed leftist Democrat candidate Bruce Braley who is a congressman. If she wins we also get rid of Braley as a congressman, because he could not keep his seat while running for the Senate! We need to win this one and get another pro-life woman in the Senate.
