Whether we’re talking about President Barack Obama’s threats to take executive action on immigration, the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) blatant executive regulatory overreach, or Health and Human Services (HHS) cherry-picking which ObamaCare provisions to enforce and which to delay – this president and his administration have a very bad habit of ignoring the law and the Constitution.
Congress and the American people should be extremely concerned by the behavior of the administration and the serious charges made by almost four dozen IGs whose responsibilities range across the entire spectrum of the federal government, from the Justice Department to the Environmental Protection Agency to the National Security Agency. The only thing more dangerous than an administration that abuses its power is an administration that tries to hide what it is doing from taxpayers, voters, and our elected representatives in Congress.
Our nation cannot survive uncontrolled regulatory tyranny or unrestrained trillion dollar a year budgets. We must defend our nation from corrupt and immoral politicians who buy votes with our tax dollars and destroy productive Americans.
Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott was glad to see Jackson resign. He issued the following statement about her departure: “It’s been a struggle dealing with the overreaching, agenda-driven Jackson-led EPA. Hopefully the new Administrator will take jobs and the economy into consideration. Texas will continue to take legal action if the new Administrator exceeds the bounds of the law.” In other words, “good riddance.”
